about us
The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is a world-wide movement dedicated to the philosophy and practice of Krishna Consciousness, also known as Bhakti Yoga.
The teachings of Krishna Consciousness enable us to awaken our true self and develop our relationship with Krishna - the Absolute Truth and source of all life. The practices include mantra meditation, the study of philosophy and active devotional service.

The mAhA MANTRA
The word mantra is derived from the two Sanskrit words "manas" (mind) and "trayate" (to deliver). Of all mantras in the Vedas, one is called the maha-mantra, the great mantra, as it holds great spiritual power. Repeated chanting of this mantra, purifies our minds and brings about peace and harmony.
