My Reason`s to join ISKCON
One day, while traveling on a train, I happened to listen to a podcast by Vinay Varanasi about the life of Lord Krishna. During the interview, the host asked him, “If we want to become closer to Krishna, what should we do?” Vinay Varanasi humbly replied, “Pray to Radha Rani.” That one sentence touched my heart deeply.
Immediately, I searched for “Radhe” on YouTube and found a bhajan — “Radhe Govinda” sung by Radhika Das. From that day until today, that bhajan has remained close to our hearts. It slowly awakened devotion within us.
Gradually, I began listening to Bhagavad Gita pravachans and Srimad Bhagavatam discourses. Through this journey, we came to know about ISKCON temple, which is very close to our house. When I attended the Sunday feast for the first time, the kirtan was so ecstatic that I completely lost myself in Krishna’s holy name. It was not just music — it was divine experience.
MOTIVATION
Though we were physically far from our homeland, Krishna’s divine mercy found us in a very unexpected and beautiful way.
After my wife joined me in Japan, we both started regularly visiting the temple. We became connected with devotees and began participating in various voluntary services. By Krishna’s grace, devotion naturally started becoming part of our daily life.
Meanwhile, my wife had brought a Bhagavad Gita in our mother tongue, Kannada, from India. We started reading it daily. We began chanting the Hare Krishna Maha Mantra and singing Narasimha Aarti every day.
When I reflect on this journey, I truly feel that we have done nothing on our own. It is purely the unseen mercy and divine force of Radha and Krishna that gently guided us towards this path. Krishna Bhakti has transformed our lives in many beautiful ways — giving us peace, clarity, and purpose.
We remain forever indebted to Lord Krishna and pray that He blesses us with more and more Bhakti, Jnana, and Vairagya.
By His mercy, we are now expecting a baby.
We sincerely pray to Krishna to give us the strength and wisdom to raise our child with good sanskar and devotion.
