With your continuous support, we resolve to serve our Japanese brethren in their tough time. First visit for new year 2012 is scheduled.  Food for Life team will be visiting Ishinomaki on Saturday January 14, 2012 to serve prasadam for around 900 people.

It is auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti- Start of auspicious time according to few traditions.

 

We require up to 35 volunteers and 7 vehicles. We request your strong support as always in preparing 1000 parothas(roti), salaad, driving.  Your generous contributions to this cause are appreciated.

Plan for the day:
·         Ｍeal service
·         Easy Yoga lesson for families (Tentative)
·         Play music in a mealtime(Tentative)
·         Spiritual & Yoga books distribution.
Meeting place : Funabori Govinda's (Next to ISKCON Temple). 2 mins. walk from South exit of Funabori stn. on Toei-Shinjuku line.
Departure time: 4:30am
Breakfast: 06:30 AM Nasu kogen hightway service area
Return start time: 3:00 PM
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Enormous effort is involved in the whole cycle from preparation to distribution.
You can assist in various ways like driving, transportation, shopping, cutting vegetables, cooking, packing, distribution, cleaning, etc.
